Dhaka-- – Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) has published a desk calendar with pictures of memorable moments of the country’s sports and leading sports personalities.

The publication ceremony of the “Desk Calendar on Sports” was held yesterday (Tuesday) at the BSJA office in the afternoon.

State Minister for Youth, Sports and Cultural Affairs Obaidul Quader attended the function as the chief guest.

Four former national cricket captains Raquibul Hasan, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Akram Khan, Aminul Islam Bulbul and first Test skipper Naimur Rahman Durjoy were among the guests.

Sports organisers and players including Tanveer Mazhar Tanna, Shamsul Bari, Aminul Haq Moni, Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, Manirul Haq and Shahed Reza, Mahbub Alam, Saiful Alam Rinki, Suarina Sultana, Rani Hamid and Jubera Rahman Linu were present.

At the function, Obaidul Quader said National Sports Council (NSC) will also publish a calendar on sports.

BSJ President Rouful Hasan and general secretary Mujtaba Danish also spoke on the occasion.

Square Pharmaceuticals Limited aided the BSJA in publishing the Desk Calendar on Sports for the first time in the country.

The calendar featured four historical moments of Bangladesh cricket along with memorable moments of hockey, chess, shooting, athletics, swimming and table tennis.
